This is really a question about how many links from one site to another count. Just think of one quality link from one website as being counted once, and fifty links from one website as being likely counted once.
It is more important to concentrate on links that are not spammy and are quality links. Build your links from your website strategically and keep them about similar topics to your website so they are relevant and targeted.
